IBPS IT officers Syllabus Toipic List
Dear friends IBPS has declared notification of IBPS Specialist officers (IBPS SO 5). And tentative dates for the exam is from 30/01/2016 & 31/01/2016. So you need to start preparing for the exams. Let’s go with the first step, Syllabus.

We have four main sections in IT Officer exam. You need cross the minimum cut off mark in every section and also in total marks.

IBPS SO IT Officer Exam Pattern

Professional Knowledge (75 Marks) 


Let’s start the topic wise discussion of the most weighted part first. This section will be a judgmental one due to its highest weight. Basically, they ask about computer or IT engineering in this section.

1. Computer Architecture & Organization:

  • Basic Computer Block Diagram, Functions, and operations of all the blocks. The flow of data/Program in Computers. Registers, Accumulator etc.
  • Instructions: Types one byte, two bytes. Prepare instructions on 8085,8086,8051.
  • Addressing Modes: Implied, Immediate, Register, Direct etc.
  • Types of Control Unit: Hard wired and Programmed control
  • Memory Organisation: RAM, ROM, PROM, Cache, Registers. Memory HIerachy
  • DMA (Direct Memory Access)
  • Interrupt
  • Microprocessor Basics
  • NIbble, Mnemonics, Compiler, Assembler definitions.
  • Virtual Memory
